Sherwood 1 – 4 Pegasus Youth Warriors
Oh dear, yet another short report. Sherwood only had themselves to blame this morning. Yes, it was bitterly cold, but equally cold for everyone – and Sherwood did have a good warm-up session before the match. But clearly the Ready Brek wasn’t working, with the team sluggish and non-communicative. We did have a few near misses in the first half – notably from Tyler and from Thomas playing in mid-field for a change, but Kel’s attempt hit the crossbar and the half-time score was an emphatic 3-0 to Pegasus.
Kel slotted in a Sherwood goal a few minutes into the second half and spirits lifted. But it was Pegasus who got the next one, and thereafter, although there was some increasingly attacking play, Sherwood didn’t manage to translate any of this into goals.
Well done to Pegasus.
